Intelligence Gaming Awarded NSA Contract to Develop GeoStorm

September 15, 2008

Intelligence Gaming was awarded an NSA contract to develop a Proof of Concept Prototype simulation for an immersive gaming tool that allows novice practitioners to learn and employ the basic concepts of Geolocation theory and processes. GeoStorm will be designed to efficiently and effectively train strategic and tactical intelligence analysts and operators in an immersive, real-time environment. The simulation will reflect analysis tools, techniques, signals analysis, and multi-agency collaboration strategies to improve analysis and operator skills and understanding so they can provide more responsive, relevant, and accurate support to Warfighters and national decision makers.

The effort brings to bear the experience of Intelligence Gaming, and Pipeworks Software, a Foundation 9 Entertainment/Backbone division. IG is the system integrator on a similar effort called GeoCommander Master Training Station (GMTS) for the US Navy. As a division of F9E (the largest independent video game developer in North America), Pipeworks Software is very capable of producing an entertaining, but serious simulation for the GeoStorm program customers. The IG and Pipeworks Software team provides the US government with the right combination for a successful program.
